B00M: Reps Summons CBN Governor, IGP, Others, Threatens To Deal With Them

The House of Representatives have summoned the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN), Godwin Emefiele, the Inspector General of police, Usman Baba, National Security Adviser, Babangana Monguno, and the Director General of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency(NIMASA), Bashir Jamoh.
The mentioned persons have been issued a 72 hours ultimatum to appear before the ad hoc committee of the House of Representatives investigating recovered loots.

The decision to summon them again followed a motion moved by a member of the committee Ibrahim Isiaka , at the hearing on Monday, June 7 as they had failed to appear before the investigative committee, but sent representatives.

According to the Chairman of the Committee, Adejoro Adeogun, the invitees are expected to appear before the lawmakers on Thursday, June 10 or they will invoke their constitutional power to deal with them.
"This committee has passed a motion now that the governor of CBN, the IGP, National Security Adviser, and the Director-General of NIMASA have between now and Thursday to appear before this committee, otherwise the parliament- the House of Representatives will invoke its power to deal with them according to the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,ÔÇØ Isiaka ruled.
