Revealed: Why Buhari Travels To London For Medical Treatment - Femi Adesina

The Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina has revealed why his principal always travel to London for medical treatment.

Adesina said the president frequent London in the United Kingdom for medical purpose because he has a medical team attending to his health for more than 40 years.

The presidential aide said this while fielding questions from 'Politics Today' anchor on Channels TV.

"President Buhari has been with the same doctors and medical team for upward of 40 years.

"It's advisable that he continues with those who know his medical history and that is why he comes to London to see them. He has used the same medical team for over 40 years. Once you can afford it, then stay with the team that has your history."

Recall that Buhari departed to London on Monday, July 26 for a Global Education Summit on Financing Global Partnership for Education (GPE) 2021-2025.

Adesina had said that the President will after the summit, stay back for his earlier scheduled medical appointment.

He is expected to return to Nigeria, second week of August, 2021.

Meanwhile, the People Democratic Party (PDP), have criticized the president for fronting a summit which is reportedly billed to be virtual, for his medical trip.
