Sir Oko Chukwu speaking shortly after he was conferred with the chieftaincy title of Udejimba Of Ohafia during a Grand Reception organized in his honour held at the Chief K K Owen Pavilion Local Govt Headquarters, Ebem Ohafia appreciated the Ohafia Traditional Rulers Council and entire Abia North zone for believing so much in him and supporting him overwhelmingly.

The Deputy Governor recalled that he has been blessed right from his stints at the House of Assembly and as the Deputy Governor with leaders like his boss and Governor, Dr Okezie lkpeazu and the member representing Abia Central Senatorial District, Chief T A Orji who provided him with a very convivial environment and necessary support as well as encouragement that enabled him excel in legislative matters and governance.

He used the forum to dedicate the chieftaincy title of Udejimba of Ohafia conferred on him to his boss and Governor, Dr Okezie lkpeazu and promised to continue to make his people proud by attracting more democracy dividends in addition to complimenting his efforts at changing the developmental narratives across the State.

In their remarks, the member representing Abia Central Senatorial District, Chief T A Orji, the member representing Isiala Ngwa North and South Fed Constituency Chief Darlington Nwokeocha, the Speaker Abia State House of Assembly, Chief Chinedum Orji and the State Chairman of PDP, Chief Alwell Asiforo Okere who described the event as a celebration of loyalty to a system and course acknowledged by all having distinguished himself as a reliable Politician, lauded the Deputy Governor for providing the political ambience to nurture future youths and appreciated the Traditional Rulers for the honour done to their son who can never betray the confidence reposed in him.

Speaking also, the Chairman, Ohafia LGA, Dr Okoroafor Ukiwe, the Chairman Ohafia Local Government Traditional Rulers Council, Eze Igwe Ojike, the Chairman on the occasion, Chief Udensi described the event as very symbolic and exceptional as they are united in honouring a gentleman that has distinguished himself politically and thanked the Governor for the opportunity given to their son to serve as well as commend Sir Ude Oko Chukwu for remaining loyal and trustworthy which has led to the steady development going on in the State.

The event also featured goodwill messages from the Chairman PDP, Abia North zone, Chief Abraham Oba, a former SSG, Dr Eme Okoro, Captain Chris Osondu and a PDP Chieftain,Leader, Arochukwu Legislative Council, Hon. Ogbonnaya Chinedu, Chief Dan Daniel Okeke Chief Ndidi Okereke among others.

The Wife of the Deputy Governor, Lady Vivien Oko Chukwu, Federal and State legislators, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Dr ACB Agbazuere, the Head of Service, Sir Onyi Wamah, Commissioners, the wife of former Governor, Chief Mrs Mercy Orji, Local Government Area Chairmen members of the Abia State Traditional Rulers Council, PDP Chieftains and other distinguished personalities graced the ceremony.
