Senator T.A. Orji Hails Appeal Court Over Judgement On Nnamdi Kanu
Senator T. A. Orji, representing Abia Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly has lauded the Court of Appeal Abuja, on it's judgement on the matter between Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), and the Federal Government.

The senator in a statement released by his Chief Liaison Officer, Ifeanyi Umere on Friday, described the appeal court's judgement as a landmark not only for the Judiciary and Democracy but also for the Rule of Law in Nigeria, positioning the country in positive light in the comity of Nations and for the sustenance of the Independence of Judiciary.

The court of Appeal Abuja on Thursday evening, declared that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's abduction and extraordinary rendition from Kenya is illegal and consequently constitutes a bar to further proceeding and trial. The court held that it was done in clear violation of extant international laws.

The Appeal Court therefore Declared Mazi Nnamdi Kanu Discharged and Acquitted. However, the Federal Government through the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister for Justice, Abubakar Malami SAN, said the appeal court only discharged Kanu but did not acquit him, adding that the matter has not ended yet.
