SH0CKING: How Medicine Vendors Stole, Killed Tricycle Operator In Adamawa | DETAILS
Two patent medicine vendors have been arrested by operatives of the Adamawa State Police Command for the alleged m-urder of a tricycle operator identified as Algoni Goni.

The vendors; Habu Badiru (27), and Auwal Lawan (26), forcefully injected Goni with an overdose of pentazocine to steal his new tricycle.

Pentazocine is an opioid pain medication, sometimes called a narcotic. Pentazocine is used to treat moderate to severe pain in adults and children who are at least 12 years old. It is also used as part of anesthesia for surgery.

Goni's remains was dumped by a riverbank in Uba, in the Hong Local Government Area of the state.

Recounting the incident, Badiru said;

"After killing Goni, I rode the tricycle to Mubi to sell it, but people refused to buy it due to lack of particulars. I then parked the tricycle at Mararaba Mubi.

"The following morning, I took the tricycle to Mubi for the second time to sell. I decided to call a buyer from Uba. But when he arrived, he asked me how I got the tricycle since he knew me to be a patent store operator.

"The man who came to buy the tricycle called the chairman of the tricycle riders association and informed him without me knowing it. The chairman and the prospective buyer were accompanied by a policeman, who told me I was under arrest."

On the other hand, Lawan said Badiru on March 4, called him on phone, requesting for assistance in killing the victim so he could raise N100,000 to settle a debt.

According to Lawan, he injected the medicine while Badiru strangled him.

Spokesperson of the command, DSP Suleiman Nguroje said the suspects would be charged to court after further investigations.
