8TH ABIA ASSEMBLY: State Chairman, Ceekay Igara Congratulates Labour Party Members On Their Inauguration

The Honourable members are; Right Honourable Emmanuel Emeruwa (the Speaker of the 8th Abia State House of Assembly), Honourable Austin Mmeregini (Deputy, Speaker), Hon. Uchenna Okoro (Majority leader,) Hon. Bonny Ishienyi, Hon. Stephen Ucheonye, Hon. Destiny Nwagwu, Hon. Abiola Chinasa, Hon. Mathias Umeh, Hon. Kalu Mba Nwoke, and Hon. Emeka Obioma.

In his congratulatory message, Igara who doubles as the Chairman, Council of Chairmen of the Labour Party, charged the lawmakers who were inaugurated on Wednesday, to hit the ground running and ensure that they deliver on the mandate given to them by their constituents and Abians at large.

The state chairman further encouraged the lawmakers to give the Executive Governor of Abia State, His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti their undivided support so as to deliver on his promises to Abians.

Ceekay Igara's congratulatory message read;

On behalf of the Labour Party Abia State, I congratulate Right Honourable Emmanuel Emeruwa, the Speaker of the 8th Abia State House of Assembly and his deputy, Honourable Austin Mmeregini, the Majority leader, Hon. Uchenna Okoro and other elected Labour Party members; Hon. Bonny Ishienyi, Hon. Stephen Ucheonye, Hon. Destiny Nwagwu, Hon. Abiola Chinasa, Hon. Mathias Umeh, Hon. Kalu Mba Nwoke, and Hon. Emeka Obioma on their inauguration into the 8th Abia State House of Assembly.

It is not enough to win an election; this is the time to hit the ground running by making people-centred laws, and positively impacting on the lives of your constituents and Abians at large.

I encourage you to also give His Excellency, the Executive governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR the necessary support to deliver on his promises to Abians as expectations are high.
