Suspects Arrested Over Alleged Ra-pe, Mu-rder Of 53-Year-Old Farmer In Abia | READ MORE
The decomposing body of one Mrs Amarachi Nwanozie aged 53, has been found in a bush near her farm at Ngwama village in Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area of Abia State.

She was last seen on Tuesday, July 12 when she went to her farm but did not return until 5PM which made her husband to raise an alarm as he panicked.

He reported the matter to Abia State Community Policing (ASCP) and Vigilante Group in Isiala Ngwa South who immediately dispatched a search team.

On Thursday, her corpse was found naked with bruises around her private parts.
The deceased's mobile phone and bunch of cassava stems were found beside her decomposing corpse.

The corpse was later evacuated and deposited in an undisclosed mortuary.

According to Prince Vic Ogidinta, the State Secretary, ASCP, 6 suspects were arrested, interrogated and handed over to the Omoba Police division.

The Abia State Police Command is yet to release a statement on the incident.
