Tension in Bayelsa APC Guber Candidate's LGA As PDP, APC Supporters Clash Over Materials
Tension rose, leading to fracas at Twon Brass jetty in the Brass local government area of Bayelsa State on Thursday when officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) were offloading election materials.

All Facts Newspaper gathered that a misunderstanding occurred between supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over where the election materials should be kept.

This newspaper learnt that the Brass Local Government Area PDP Chairman, Bara Daniel, sustained injury due to the altercation.

APC supporters led by Victor Isaiah, a former Local Government Chairman, were blamed for the attack. However, he has denied any involvement in the assault.

He said, "I was there actually to monitor the process of the materials offloading, but the PDP chairman kept making derogatory statements which unsettled some people, but I was able to calm the situation.ÔÇØ

As of press time, normalcy was restored by some military personnel who intervened.

The Chairman of Brass Local Government Area, Mr. Alabo Hanson Karika, has strongly condemned the attack on the PDP Chairman of Brass LGA.
