The Anti Human Trafficking and Child Protection Unit of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC) Oyo State Command, on Thursday, March 11, arraigned one Olalekan Joshua, 16, before the Iyaganku Family Court 2 for allegedly raping a minor.
The suspect, a barber who hails from Onipasan area of Odejayi Ibadan, allegedly raped an 8-year-old girl in her mother's shop on December 18, 2020 around 8pm.

The presiding Magistrate, P.O. Adetuyibi remanded the suspect at Abolongo Correctional Service in Oyo, while the case was adjourned till May,15, 2021.

The State Commandant Iskilu Akinsanya, who spoke at the Command State Headquarters Agodi, Ibadan, warned those indulging in such acts to desist as the NSCDC will not hesitate to punish offenders.

He advised parents to take adequate care of their children and also teach them disciplines.
