Lamenting that if it has come to the point where concerned individuals and groups can no longer come together freely to seek spiritual intervention for the state, then Abia is doomed "look everybody in Abia including the Governor knows that the state is facing serious problems, and that these problems are beyond the government of the day. We believe that Abia State needs Spiritual help to be able to overcome the challenges facing it. It is against this background that this women group decided to organize this prayer session. "They starting asking us who we are mourning, who paid us, who sent us and all that. Before we could know what was happening, they descended on the women, ministers of God and everybody that was there for the prayer session. They beat and inflicted serious bodily injuries on us especially the women. For now, we are not accusing anybody, but our position is that the only way that the Abia state government can convince us and exonerate itself from culpability in the matter is for it to immediately investigate the circumstances surrounding the disruption of the prayer session with a view to fishing out the perpetrators. ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER gathered that as early as 7am on the day, several women from the Abia state Environmental Protection Agency ASEPA were dispatched to the venue of the prayer session for a cleanup EXERCISE thus giving the first signal to the fate that awaited the prayer SESSION. But Pastor Gad in his address to the press rejected the idea of linking the women group with politics. "what is paining us is that all these past years we have been organizing similar prayer sessions across the state in line with our conviction that the problems confronting Abia state are such that can only be solved through spiritual intervention. And all these years we have never been involved in politics. We have never collected any money from any politician or political group. Our only motivation is to seek God's face over the problems of Abia state. Like I said earlier on, everybody including the Governor knows that Abia is facing serious problems and only God can bail it out " Pastor Gad added.
