A mentally deranged woman reportedly stabbed to death, a 14-year-old boy identified as Joseph Thomas on Tuesday, April 20 in Bayelsa State.

Report says, the woman, believed to be an indigene of Enugu State, was popularly known as she preaches the gospel in the early hours of the morning along Genesis Street off Okaka road.

However, on Tuesday, she reportedly arrived the area with her bible and began to display strange behaviors while flaunting a dagger she had on her.

Residents said she chased everyone that came close to her until she got to the victim's house where she forced her way in and dragged him to the road where she stabbed him three times until he died.

The deceased's grandmother identified only as Modlyn, said;

"I went to buy something. I was still at the place when someone told me that a mad woman was looking for me and wanted to kill me.
"I wondered why a mad woman would be looking for me. I ran into my neighbor's house to seek refuge. "While at the neighbor's house, I heard a noise from neighbors that she had stabbed my grandson to death.ÔÇØ

The State Police Command's spokesperson, Asinim Butswat, said the woman is in custody and the police has arranged for extra security at the hospital where she is being treated to stop any plan to kill her on the hospital bed in retaliation for the killing of the boy.
