FG Reveals When Trial Of Boko Haram Suspects Will Resume | READ DETAILS

The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, has said that the trial of Boko Haram suspects will resume soon in Niger state.

The minister said this while welcoming the Nigerian Ambassador to the Netherlands, Eniola Ajayi, on Tuesday in Abuja.

Malami who reaffirmed the federal government's commitment towards prosecuting Boko Haram suspects.said that machinery was in action to continue the special courts procedures in Kainji, New Bussa, Niger State.

In a statement released by his spokesman, Umar Gwandu, the AGF was quoted as saying:

"Machinery are in motion to ensure the continuation of courts sitting in kainji, New Bussa for prosecution of Boko Haram cases,ÔÇØ

"With due diligence to Nigeria's mandate under Article 86 of the Rome Statute of ICC, Nigeria cooperated fully with the court through submission of relevant documents, reports of panels of enquiry, etcÔÇØ.

Malami further informed that a committee for the domestication of the Rome Statute in Nigeria had already been formed.
