A governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2018 primaries, Ambassador Chidike Ukauwa, has blasted the APC gubernatorial candidate in Abia State, Dr. Uche Ogah, over the failure of the party in the just-concluded 2019 general election in the state.

Ukauwa said, "APC made a lot of improvement, particularly in Abia State, where we secured about 25 percent during the just concluded presidential election. The masses entirely voted for APC during election, but, there was a lot of sell out and treachery from some of our party leaders. They betrayed Abians and APC.
"Could you imagine somebody like, the party's governorship flagbearer, Dr. Uchechukwu Ogah, who I heartily stepped down before poll? I am highly disappointed with him. He betrayed our party, he betrayed the future of this great state. He even betrayed the poor who voted for him, showing unconcern approach to the outcome of the governorship election held in the state.

He continued, "I must say it in this fora, I regret stepping down for him. I wonder if Dr.Ogah was sent as a mole into party to sold APC out. Also, I am aware he has headed to tribunal to challenge the reelection of the incumbent governor, Okezie Ikpeazu. I want to advise him to withdraw all petitions in the tribunal, because, he will lose the matter.

"Our candidate just ran to the tribunal in order to hide his face in shame. Because, after the governorship election in the state, it took him so much long to speak to his supporters and teeming APC stakeholders. I believe that the ruling PDP by now, has worked with INEC to destroy sensitive electoral materials used in the conduct of the election, so, what is he going to tribunal to down?

The APC stalwart asserted, "Going to the tribunal means creating more problems in the state, because, it will draw the state backward. Because the incumbent governor always excuses himself that it was court that made him not deliver as he (governor) always claimed. Again, he should apologize to the Abia people for deceiving them, deceiving the poor and downtrodden after they have given him their massive supports.ÔÇØ (DP)
