TROUBLE ROCKS ABIA SDP AS LGA CHAIRMEN ADOPTS GOV. IKPEAZU, GUBER CANDIDATE, STATE CHAIRMAN DECLINES

Trouble seems to be rocking the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Abia State as its LGA Chairmen, gubernatorial candidate and state Chairman seems to be singing in different tones at the moment.

Few minutes ago, the 17 Local Government Area Chairmen of Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Abia State adopted Governor Okezie Ikpeazu at the Abia State Press Center with the gubernatorial candidate and other leadership of the party including the state chairman missing.

When AFN contacted the State Chairman of SDP, Honorable Chidi Nwosu, he made it clear that he is not aware of the adoption and that he is not part of it.

A close source to the SDP gubernatorial candidate, Honorable Blessing Nwagba also explained to our reporter that his principal is not aware of the adoption and that Nwagba is not stepping down for anyone.

During the adoption, the spokesperson of the SDP LGA Chairmen stated that their adoption is based on the need to have peace in Abia State which can only be achieved if equity is maintain by allowing Governor Okezie Ikpeazu to finish his second term.
