UGANDA: My life and that of my family is under threat - Bobi Wine | READ DETAILS

Uganda's main opposition Presidential Candidate, Robert Kyagulanyi (a.k.a. Bobi Wine) has cried out saying his life and that of his wife are in danger after the Thursday Election which Yoweri Museveni won to rule for the sixth term.

He stated on his Facebook and Twitter account that for the past four days, military personnels are still surrounding his house even after the election has finished and him and his wife are being placed under house arrest. "Our food supplies has finished and my wife was assaulted yesterday as she went to pick food from the garden by the military personnels positioned at our compound.

Everyone including my media and party officials are restricted from reaching me. MP Zaake Francis was arrested and beaten mercilessly outside my gate as he came to visit me in my house.

Bobi Wine who is a musician has rejected the outcome of the election stating that there were various irregularities notwithstanding that his opponent said it was the fairest of elections in Uganda ever. Bobi stated that there were a lot of violence during the campaigns that led to the death of dozens of people. He stated that the government shut down internet of which those monitoring the elections condemned.
