Umahi Woos Wike, Says Tinubu Needs Rivers Votes

In an attempt to woo Governor Nyesom Wike to support the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State said that the former Lagos state governor does not need logistic support but the votes of Rives.
Umahi stated this on Tuesday in Rivers when he commissioned the Akpabu-Itu-Umudiogha road in the Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers at the invitation of Wike.

Umahi who is an APC governor and one of the coordinators of Tinubu's campaign in the South-East noted what Tinubu needs is the votes of the people of the oil-rich state.

Recall, the Rivers state governor had promised logistics support for the campaigns of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi; and his New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) counterpart, Rabiu Kwankwaso who recently commissioned projects in Rivers.

Wike has been in loggerheads with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubabar over the continued insistence of the National party's chairman's, Iyorchia Ayu to maintain his position, amongst other indifferences.
