The Abia State Online Media Association has officially unveiled Rt. Hon. Ginger Obinna Onwusibe as one of its distinguished Patrons-an announcement that has sparked excitement across political and civic circles in Abia State.

Hon. Onwusibe, revered for his integrity-driven leadership and development-focused politics, stands today as one of the most influential lawmakers in the 10th National Assembly. His unveiling marks a significant endorsement of his decades-long contributions to public service, grassroots empowerment, and national legislative growth.

Born on May 1, 1972, into the humble family of late Mr. and Mrs. Sam Ginger Amanaha, Onwusibe's rise from modest beginnings to national prominence has inspired many. Losing both parents early in life did not deter him; instead, it strengthened his resolve to serve humanity.

His public service journey began remarkably early. At just 26, he was elected Councillor in Isiala Ngwa North LGA in 1998, later emerging Chairman of the Abia State Councillors' Forum and Leader of the Legislative Council.

Throughout his roles as Transition Committee Chairman in 2010 and 2014, Onwusibe championed community-centred initiatives-electrification, rural roads, youth empowerment, education upgrades, and improved welfare for workers.

By 2016, he had become Executive Chairman of Isiala Ngwa North, delivering transformational projects that cemented his reputation as one of Abia's most effective local administrators.

In 2019, he was elected into the Abia State House of Assembly, where he distinguished himself through impactful legislation and people-focused projects, including mini-stadiums, schools, transformers, solar lighting, erosion control, and strategic youth interventions.

In 2023, he secured a seat in the House of Representatives, representing Isiala Ngwa North and South Federal Constituency. Today, as Chairman of the House Committee on Financial Crimes, Onwusibe is widely recognized for high-impact motions and bills addressing security reforms, national unity, tuition crises, erosion disasters, and the revival of historic institutions like the Nsulu Games Village.

Beyond politics, Hon. Onwusibe is the traditional Prime Minister of Amapu Ntigha Autonomous Community, a respected grassroots mobilizer, and founder of the Otawike Youth Initiative, which has supported hundreds of young people with education, skills, and empowerment.
