The parish priest of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ewu-Owa Gberigbe in Ikorodu, Lagos state, Rev. Fr. James Anelu has banned Igbo songs in his church.

According to report's, trouble started when a worship song in Igbo language was on during the second collection. The priest was said to have angrily halted the moment, fuming that the Igbos cannot keep dominating other people even in his Church.

The priest who hails from Edo state, was said to have sighted the case of his Benin Diocese where Igbos dominate to the point of becoming the Bishop.
