VIEWING CENTRE BOMBED IN BORNO STATE, 20 KILLED, DOZENS INJURED

At least 20 persons including a policeman have been killed
as suicide bombers detonated their explosives at a football viewing centre at
Mandarari ward in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State on Sunday night.

Vigilante sources at dozens also sustained injury in the
attack, which occurred at 8:50pm.

Witnesses said the three suicide bombers were two female and
a male, adding that the fourth bomber, a female, whose IED failed to detonate
was apprehended and handed over to the Nigerian Army.
Although the police and the military are yet to speak on the
incident, the State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA officials who spoke on
the condition of anonymity confirmed the incident.
