We Thank God for Sparing your Life, Abia Speaker Rejoices with Hon. Ike Anyatonwu

Speaking on Sunday during the thanksgiving reception organised by Hon. Ike Anyatonwu to mark a year of his survival in a fatal motor accident that unfortunately claimed the lives of few other people, the Speaker said one of the reasons God spared the life of the former Isialangwa South Council Boss was because of his benevolence to his people. He therefore charged him to continue to show kindness to his people because in doing so, he honours God.

"Emetumba (Hon Iyke Anyantowu) is my friend and a friend of all the guests here. We thank God for sparing his life," the Speaker said.

Continuing, Rt Hon Chinedum Orji said, "I also wish to thank the Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, for his proactive and swift action that ensured the best of medical experts were on hand to promptly attend to Emetumba immediately he received the news of the unfortunate incident. I have told our brother to first thank the God and then the Governor".

Moved by the enormous goodwill shown the celebrant by the people, the Speaker thanked them for their support and solidarity. He then charged him to carry the youths along, not forgetting the men and women, reminding him that it was one of the reasons God has spared his life.

The Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu was among top dignitaries that graced the occasion.
