A fresh political showdown is brewing in Abia State as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has issued a strongly worded warning to Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, accusing the lawmaker of brazen interference, political infiltration, and sponsoring a fake parallel leadership structure within the party.

The ADC leadership, through its state Publicity Secretary, Chiamaka Ohaka, said the party is prepared to drag Abaribe to court if he fails to immediately withdraw from what they described as deliberate attempts to destabilize the party for "selfish political interests."
According to the ADC, Senator Abaribe - who currently represents Abia South - has no membership ties whatsoever with the African Democratic Congress. The party insists he has never picked a membership form, never attended a single ADC meeting, and has never contributed to the party's growth "from ward to national level."

Despite this, the party alleges that Abaribe has been convening unauthorized meetings, influencing vulnerable officers, sponsoring illegal factions, and spreading misinformation with the hope of weakening and eventually taking over the legitimate party structure in Abia State.

The statement described the senator's actions as a "brazen display of political impropriety," alleging that he planted impostors who parade themselves as ADC officials in order to create internal discontent and polarize the party ahead of coming political activities.
The ADC leadership has now issued a 48-hour ultimatum, demanding that Abaribe dismantle all such "affiliated hirelings," withdraw all unauthorized interference, and allow the party to operate without political distortion.
The party's tone was unmistakably firm:
