A storm is brewing in the political landscape of the Southeast as former ALGON Chairman and ex-Obingwa LGA boss, Hon. Ibe Michael Nwoke, has come out swinging against the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, accusing him of prioritizing "political showmanshipÔÇØ over tangible results for the people of the region.

In a scathing statement obtained by All Facts Newspaper, Hon. Nwoke did not mince words as he challenged the Deputy Speaker to "quit the media parades and start solving the real issuesÔÇØ plaguing the Southeast.
"Our people are suffering. What we need is real representation, not political drama and television appearances. Enough of the showmanship,ÔÇØ Nwoke fired.
He argued that at a time when insecurity, economic hardship, poor infrastructure, and rising youth unemployment are ravaging the region, what the Southeast desperately needs is decisive leadership - not optics or endless press conferences.

Nwoke also took aim at a group parading itself as the Southeast Local Government Forum, branding it as "illegal, self-serving, and unrecognizedÔÇØ by legitimate former local government chairmen in the region.

"That group is not known to us. It is made up of individuals pushing their personal interests and does not speak for or represent us,ÔÇØ he declared.

According to him, the so-called forum has no credibility or mandate to speak on behalf of past council bosses, and is merely being used to promote the political interests of a select few loyal to Kalu.

In a more sobering tone, Hon. Nwoke called on leaders across party lines in the Southeast to put aside personal ambitions and political egos to work collectively for the development and survival of the region.
