Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday stormed the Abuja residence of former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, in what sources described as part of moves to forfeit the property to the Federal Government.

According to reports, heavily armed EFCC operatives arrived the Maitama residence in several buses and immediately took control of the area, blocking access to the property and sealing off the road leading to the residence.

The property is located at No. 2 Koranakh Close, off Amazon Street in Maitama, Abuja, one of the high-profile residential areas in the Federal Capital Territory.
Eyewitness accounts indicated that the EFCC operatives barricaded the road leading to the residence, restricting movement in and out of the area while security personnel were stationed around the property.
Sources said the operation was led by a senior EFCC official and was carried out as part of ongoing legal and investigative processes linked to alleged financial improprieties involving the former Attorney-General.
