In a rather startling development, raging reports of Zimbabweans allegedly cutting and selling off their toes have generated reactions on the cyberspace.

In the wake of the increased cost of living and unemployment in the country, the citizens of the Southeastern Africa clime have allegedly taken to trading off their toes.

In a post by South African lawyer and journalist, Barry Roux who took to Twitter to bemoan the alarming turnout of events, larger toes are purchased for $40,000 (N16 million naira), the smaller ones are bought for $20,000 (N8 million dollars). He explained the toes can also be exchanged for big luxury cars.

It was also gathered that several men have been spotted struggling to walk after selling off their toes at Ximex Mall in the capital.
