Wike Reveals How Amaechi Ordered General To Assassinate Him | READ DETAILS

In a bombshell revelation, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has accused his predecessor and political rival, Rotimi Amaechi, of masterminding an alleged assassination plot against him during the 2019 general elections.

Speaking during a Channels Television interview on Thursday, Wike alleged that General Saham, then the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 6 Division of the Nigerian Army, was instructed to eliminate him on Amaechi's orders.

According to Wike, Amaechi allegedly promised to reward General Saham with the position of Chief of Army Staff if he carried out the deadly mission.

"General Saham, former General Officer Commanding 6 Division, tried to kill me. Amaechi promised to make him the next Chief of Staff. General Saham ordered that I should be shot. As a sitting governor, imagine being given such an order,ÔÇØ Wike declared.

The former Rivers State governor further revealed that a Colonel who refused to execute the alleged assassination directive was punished severely.

"When the Colonel refused, he was detained for six months,ÔÇØ Wike alleged.

Wike, who has been embroiled in a long-standing feud with Amaechi, also mocked some opposition governors, saying they have never endured the kind of political persecution and threats he faced while in power.

"Many of those crying today never faced what I faced as governor,ÔÇØ he said.

He went on to note that when he learned that General Saham had later secured a role at the National Security Adviser's office, he deliberately avoided visiting the place due to their dark history.

This revelation is already stirring intense political debate across the country, especially within Rivers political circles where Wike and Amaechi have been bitter rivals for years. Many Nigerians are now demanding explanations from both the military and Amaechi, as the shocking allegations cast a dark shadow over the 2019 general elections.
