Just 24 hours after officially resigning from the Young Progressive Party (YPP), Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso, the 2023 Deputy Governorship Candidate of the party, has thrown his weight fully behind the administration of Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti.

Anyaso made this bold declaration during a historic reception held at Uzoakoli Practicing School in honour of Governor Otti's official visit to Bende Federal Constituency on Friday 20th June 2025. In a powerful welcome address delivered in the presence of top government functionaries, traditional rulers, and the people of Bende, Dr. Anyaso expressed unwavering support for the governor's transformational leadership.

Dr. Anyaso, who until June 19, 2025, was a frontline member of the YPP, stated clearly: "I stand before you today to declare, boldly and unequivocally, my total support for your administration. I pledge to continue working with you-side by side-on this journey to rebuild Abia State regardless of how tough it gets.ÔÇØ

He described the governor's visit to Bende as not just ceremonial, but historic. "In just two years, you have rekindled hope in governance, restored dignity to public service, and shown that transformational leadership is not a myth-but a mandate that can be delivered with discipline, integrity, and empathy,ÔÇØ he noted.

Dr. Anyaso highlighted key areas where Governor Otti's leadership has made significant impacts-including infrastructural renewal, civil service reform, and healthcare improvements-saying that the people of Bende are already feeling the positive ripple effects.

Officially Joins Abia Arise, Donates Coaster Buses for Constituency Mobilization

In a significant development, Dr. Anyaso also formally announced his membership of the Abia Arise movement-a grassroots coalition championing Governor Otti's progressive governance.

As part of his commitment to the administration's success, he donated two brand-new Coaster buses to support the logistics and mobility needs of Abia Arise leadership in Bende Local Government Area. He further pledged to personally handle the fueling and maintenance of the vehicles to ensure their effectiveness and sustainability.
