Dr. Chima Desmond Anyaso (Ofuji ndi Bende), founder Chima Anyaso Foundation on Saturday, February 5, hosted stakeholders of the People's Democratic party (PDP), ward executives and members of Bende community in Abia state.

The event held at the country home of the businessman and philanthropist, in Igbere, Bende Local Government Area of the state.
Speaking at the event, Anyaso who had contested to represent Bende Federal Constituency under the PDP in 2019, made it clear that he is still the man to beat for the ticket of PDP.
He expressed confidence on retaining the ticket of the party and stated that anyone interested in taking the ticket from him must be ready for a serious contest.

"I am holding the Offor (ace of leadership) of Bende federal constituency. I am using this opportunity to tell ndi Bende that I am not ready to hand over the Offor. But it does not mean that other people do not have the right to aspire; but you'll ask yourself, this person you want to collect this thing from, what is his strength".

He added;

"It is better we come together and agree; it must not be me but remember, currently, I am the one holding it and you can't take it from me by fraud".

He restated that he has not indulged in any illegal activity to make money nor held any political position or contract, adding that all he gives out is from his personal resources which emanates from his established businesses.

Anyaso charged the youths to be upright and hardworking while appreciating Bende people for gathering and proving that peace and unity exists in Bende PDP.
Dr Chima Anyaso promised to donate 225 jeeps and 5million naira each to all polling units in Bende Local Government, N10m for LGA Excos, N100m to PDP at the state level to win their units and local governments for the party come 2023.

Speaking, Hon. Emmanuel Ndubuisi, member representing Bende south state constituency, appreciated Chima Anyaso for his benevolence, affirming that the PDP in Bende are united and not divided as speculated.
Ndubuisi added that all that Anyaso has promised, if fulfilled will go a long way in ensuring victory for the PDP in 2023.
Beneficiaries who spoke with ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER expressed gratitude to Anyaso whom they described as a man who uses his God given resources to reach out to people.

Items doled out at the event by Chima Anyaso include; cash for ward excos, food items to members of the 13 wards in Bende, generator, and vehicle empowerment to individuals, among others.
