According to Eze, the apex court emphasized that the leadership of a political party is an internal affair, and neither the Federal High Court nor the Court of Appeal had the jurisdiction to decide who leads the Labour Party. The judgment further stated that Abure's tenure had expired under the party's constitution and that the party had already constituted a Caretaker Committee to take over leadership affairs.
