Abia: Celebration In Umunneochi As Okey Igwe Commissions Four Classroom Block

In her welcome address, the Headmistress of the school, Lady Alaneme Josephine C. thanked Hon. Okey Igwe for attracting the classroom blocks and the Abia State Government in general. The Headmistress recalled that Hon. Igwe and other notable personalities who were present in the occasion passed through the school as their first citadel of learning.

She expressed satisfaction with the quality of work done on the building, describing it as ultra - modern. The pupils of the school expressed their own excitement and entertained Hon. Igwe with sumptuous calisthenics and acrobatics.

The Secretary of Education Umunneochi LGA Mrs. Ngozi Elem also thanked Hon. Okey Igwe and the Abia State Government for attracting and awarding the school building.

Hon. Okey Philip Igwe who also donated study desks to the school while commissioning the school building thanked His Excellency Gov. Okezie Ikpazu and ASUBEB/UBEC for awarding the school building project to Isuochi Central School. Hon. Igwe expressed happiness with the Headmistress and other teachers for the way they conduct academic activities in the school (his alma mater) and pledged his continuos support to the school.

Hon. Igwe while responding to appeal from the SBMC Chairman of the school to also assist fence the school, donated 100 bags of cement to commence fencing the school. Hon. Maduabuchi Ejimadu, Councilor representing Amuda Ward in the Umunneochi Legislative Council also donated two trips of sand to support fencing of the school.

Hon. Igwe also used the occasion to reiterate his resolve to ensure meaningful electricity across communities in Umunneochi through his Energise Communities Project.

In his reaction, HRH Eze Wilson Egbo Chatu 1 thanked Hon. Okey Igwe for attracting the school building project and for donating study desks to the school to enhance studies.
