ABIA : Hon. Okey Igwe Reaches Out to Widows in Umunneochi LGA

The honorable member representing Umunneochi State Constituency at the Abia State House of Assembly, Honorable Barr. Okey Igwe on Friday, 25th September 2020 commenced his monthly provision for widows in his Constituency in Abia State.

The over 40 widows drawn from various wards in his constituency that benefited from the financial support were all appreciative of the gesture and prayed it continues.

Based on the information made available to AFNEWS, the honorable member decided to embark on this monthly financial support for widows due to his passion, desire to reach out to his constituents and empower more widows.

It is on record that the same honorable member packaged his salary for distribution to widows, indigents and senior citizens of Umunneochi LGA who had health challenges while he was a local government chairman.
