Abia Speaker Urges New Couple To Sustain Their Marriage With Prayer, Mutual Respect

The Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Engr Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji earlier today attended the wedding ceremony of Mr & Mrs Tochukwu Goodluck Onuigbo at International Conference Centre, Ogurube Layout, Umuahia.

Speaking at the wedding reception, the Speaker congratulated the newlyweds on their special day.

The Speaker said the day was a joyful one for him because the groom is his younger brother, and an emotional one for him because, as it pleases God, the father of the groom "is no longer with us today to witness this special day".

Rt Hon Orji said no marriage is perfect but the couple should work together towards making a perfect marriage through prayer, mutual respect, humility and trust.

He wished them a happy married life and prayed God to bless the union with fruitfulness and prosperity.

The groom is the first son of Late Sir Johnson Onuigbo, former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Abia State Chapter.
