ABIA STATE: UMUAHIA RESIDENTS GRIP WITH FEAR AS ARMED ROBBERY ATTACKS INCREASES

Residents of Umuahia, Abia State capital now sleeps with one eye open following cases of high-level robbery attacks going on across the State capital.

Report has it that this robbery attack has brought an untold hardship on some inhabitants of Umuahia the State capital whom have been on the receiving end from those faceless individuals, as they now resort to self-help so as to avoid future occurrence.

According to report, just recently there was a robbery attack at Forte Oil filling Station which is located at Bank road, beside Fidelity Bank Plc. Umuahia as it was reported that they carted away huge amount of money in the after math.

Another case of robbery incident also took place at a Supermarket opposite PDP Secretariat, along Finbarr's road yesterday night.

Reactions have continued to trail the situation in the capital city of the State as people are beginning to lose confidence in the security situation of the State, stressing that the government must wake up to her responsibilities towards protecting the lives and properties of individuals around.

Not long enough, there were robbery attack at Amuzukwu, World Bank Housing Estate and other parts of the city, these developments have raised a lot of concern by well-meaning groups and bodies just as they call on the government to act fast so as to save the State from being taken by robbers.
