AFNEWS AWARDS: Board Cancels 2020 edition, Promises Bigger Event 2021

The management of AFNEWS formerly Abia Facts Newspaper have decided to cancel 2020 annual AFNEWS Awards after much deliberation.
This is coming after it's top hierarchy deemed it fit to lead by example. In the words of the editor- in-chief Mr Emenike Jason Ireogbu, he reiterated that this period is such a delicate one, and as one of Abia state foremost Newspaper house we have to lead by example.

"The pandemic situation has however caused a disruption on how social activities occur and we are well aware of these challenges"

More also the Nigerian state is yet to give a go ahead to the general public to freely run social activities as the risk of contacting the COVID-19 virus is still high.

He however enjoined everyone to adhere to the COVID-19 prevention guidelines and also promised that the 2021 edition of the event would be the best awards event yet to come in the state.
