ASOPADEC: Chief Uzo Ihuka Express Gratitude To Gov. Ikpeazu As His Tenure Ends

Chief Uzo Ihuka, AF-NEWS personality of the year, 2019, and former member representing Isialangwa and Osisioma Ngwa LGA's in the Abia State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission(ASOPADEC), has expressed gratitude to governor Okezie Ikpeazu for the opportunity to have served as a Commissioner.

Recall that the governor, on Wednesday, August 26, approved the immediate dissolution of the board of the ASOPADEC, appointing Emeka Stanley as the Sole Administrator of the Commission.

Ihuka took to his Facebook handle to thank Governor Ikpeazu and his constituents for believing in him, and also congratulated Stanley on his new appointment.

I want to use this medium to express my unalloyed appreciation to our dear Governor, Dr Okezie Victor Ikpezu and the good people of Isialangwa and Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Areas for the opportunity granted me to represent you in Abia State Oil Producing Area Commission as a Commissioner.

The appointment was for me an opportunity to contribute my own quota to the development and growth of my people, while I thank the Governor and my constituents for their love, support and solidarity shown and given to me over the years.

To all my colleagues in the board it was nice that our paths crossed. We learned and unlearned. And to all the wonderful staff of ASOPADEC, God bless you all. Some of you turned from staff to family; better days are ahead. I am grateful to God Almighty for the hills we climbed, the valleys we levelled and the miles we covered. We did not get it all right but we surely did something within our bits.

My tenure in ASOPADEC has ended, but that does not stop me from doing the little I can do towards the growth and development of our youths and society at large. Living to me, is just for impact.

Again, I quite understand that occupying that position meant depriving another constituent of mine the opportunity. To such persons, I say thank you. Unu emegbaala ahu!"

On the same vein, I congratulate Rt Hon. Emeka Stanley on his appointment as the sole administrator of the commission and pray God to give him the wisdom to steer the ship.
