BUSTED: Bank Gave A Gov. N500m New Notes - El-Rufai Reveals | READ DETAILS
Amid scarcity of the naira notes; both old and redesigned, the governor of Kaduna state, Nasir El-Rufai, has alleged that a bank gave a fellow governor like him, 500 Million new notes.
El-Rufai, while speaking in an exclusive interview with BBC, insisted that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), needs to extend the deadline for the currency swap.

"Yesterday, I was told that one of our governors got N500m in new notes from the bank. It was the bank that gave him.
