Popular Singer Olubankole Wellington aka Banky W has revealed how his wife, Adesua Etomi-Wellington inspired his latest song.

The EME boss, in an interview with Simi Drey on Beat FM, said he got the inspiration for the song "Jo" the very first time his wife danced for him.

Banky W said even though this happened a few years ago, he vowed to write a song about the scenario.

The "Strong Thing" singer described the new music video as 'lit' and his best ever.

He said:
"It was written by myself and Maytronomy and I was inspired by the first time my wife danced for me. This is like you know, a few years ago.
"The first time we were in that kind of intimate moment and she danced for me. And I was like, wow! I have hit the jackpot. It was a different kind of dance but it was an inspiring moment for me. And I always said that I was gonna write something about it.

"Because, you know, we are married now, we are in our fourth year. And sometimes, you look around and marriage seems like something you have to endure rather than enjoy. And I'm trying to just kinda show people that it's not like that. You know I'm having the best years of my life right now."

"So, "Jo" is a celebration of that. It's a celebration of love, your partner, of dancing of couples, just all of that. And I've always wanted to do salsa or Latin flavoured video.
"You know it's something I'd wanted to do for years but I just never really put it together. And I'm glad I never did. Because Susu and I in this video, whoosh! Where is the flame emojis, we need the flame emojis.

"I've done a lot of video in my life but this might be my favorite video ever. Because there's so much flavour. It's lit, it's fully lit!"
