BREAKING: How Heavy Gunmen Attacked Federal Medical Centre Lokoja, Cart Away Sensitive Materials

Gunmen attacked the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Lokoja, Kogi State, on Wednesday morning and carted away computers and other sensitive materials from the administrative department of the health institution.

The gunmen who stormed the place in large numbers were said to have carted away laptops and phones of staff and patients, along with other vital documents of the medical centre.

The hooligans operated for about thirty minutes and left the scene as victims cried for help.

As at the time of filing this report, the Kogi State Police Command has not issued any statement concerning the incident.
The management of the FMC Lokoja and the Kogi State government seem to be at loggerheads due to the controversy the COVID-19 pandemic has generated in the State.

Meanwhile, the state governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello strongly believes that the coronavirus pandemic is a hoax.

However, the management of the medical centre appear not to be on the same page with him.
