BREAKING: Newly Appointed Zamfara Deputy Governor Resigns | READ IN FULL
The newly appointed deputy governor of Zamfara state, Muhammad Nasiha has formally resigned as the Senator representing Zamfara Central Senatorial District.

Recall that Nasiha was appointed by governor Bello Mattawalle after former deputy governor Mahdi Gusau was on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 impeached by the state House of Assembly during plenary.

His impeachment came shortly after the House received the report of the committee set up by the Chief Judge of the state, Justice Kulu Aliyu, to investigate the allegations against him.

The allegations levelled against him were; a breach of the Constitution, gross misconduct, financial fraud, and abuse of office.

Senate President, Ahmed Lawan while reading a letter addressed to the Senate at Tuesday , March 1, announced Nasiha's resignation.

Nasiha was quoted as resigning to become the deputy governor in Zamfara state.
