Breaking: Protests Rock Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike Over 55 Months Unpaid Allowances

Wednesday 4th March 2020, The Staff of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike are at the moment protesting over unpaid 55 months Occupational Hazard Allowance[OHA] due members of the National Association of Academic Technologists [NAAT],

AFnews gathered that, the reason while union embarked on the protest is that, the Vice-Chancellors refused to pay their Occupational hazard Allowance which they described as their due entitlement and that every other university including MOUAU is paying until Prof. Francis Otunta came in as the VC.

Our correspondent also understands that the staff have made all efforts to make him pay has proved abortive and the only option left is to abandon lectures and protest.
