Buhari's Government Has Recovered One Billion Dollars Looted Funds- Malami

The Federal Government on Wednesday said that it has made a recovery of one billion dollars ($1,000,000) since the commencement of the President Muhammadu administration in May 2015 until now.

Speaking after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting presided by Buhari at the State House, the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, hinted that the recovered assets were channeled to different economic sector with the objective of addressing poverty, and stated that it has yielded positively to curbing the negative impacts on Nigerians.

He also said that the Council has given approval of an anti-corruption strategy document to strengthen anti-graft fight in the country.

In the same vein, the AGF expressed the Federal government's worry over recurrent cases of budget padding, asserting that necessary measure would be explored to tackle it.
