'Even As A Fulani Man, I Did Not Vote For Buhari' - Former Governor

Lamido said this while reacting to recent condemnations and allegations against Fulani herdsmen in different parts of the nation.

According to the former governor, recent hatred and allegations against the Fulanis were because Buhari who is a Fulani man has woefully failed Nigerians in his leadership.

There Southwest and Southeast people has been making moves to send out Fulani herders out of their region over a series of criminal activities including banditry, kidnapping and killings of innocent farmers.

Lamido said the president has failed in providing good governance for Nigerians and that was why everyone is showing dislike for the Fulanis of which many of them did not even vote for Buhari.

The former governor said former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Rotimi Amaechi (Minister of Transportation) and the like of Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige are the people that supported and voted for the Fulani leader.

Lamido, however, said it is worrisome that the people he mentioned have chosen to be silent over 'horrible attacks' on Fulanis despite them benefiting jointly in the government led by a Fulani man.

Meanwhile, during a meeting with the new service chiefs on Tuesday, January 26, President Muhammadu Buhari said his administration has not found the fight against insurgency easy.

The President in a statement released through his spokesman, Femi Adesina, called on the service chiefs to be patriotic, saying the country was in an emergency.
