... Governor's message emphasizes quality education, moral upbringing, and family values at the dedication of Hon. Promise Uzoma Okoro's child

The Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, has reiterated his administration's firm commitment to providing free and quality education for all Abia children, urging parents to take full advantage of the state's education policy.

Governor Otti made this known on Sunday during the dedication of Master Divine Kelechi Uzoma, son of Hon. Promise Uzoma Okoro (PUO), Chairman of the Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria (OMPAN), Abia State chapter, held at Power World Ministries Int'l, Umuahia.

Represented at the event by Abia State Commissioner for Information Prince Okey kanu, the Governor expressed his joy over the dedication and used the opportunity to remind parents that education remains the greatest legacy they can give their children. He noted that the free education policy, which covers primary to junior secondary school, has already begun to transform lives and increase school enrollment across the state.

"We have seen tremendous improvement in school attendance and parents' enthusiasm since the introduction of the free education programme,ÔÇØ the Governor's message read.

"No child in Abia should be denied access to education because of financial challenges.ÔÇØ

Governor Otti also congratulated Hon. Promise Uzoma Okoro and his wife on the safe delivery and dedication of their son, urging them to raise him in the fear of God and to remain steadfast in faith.

The event, which had the theme "The Power of Principles,ÔÇØ featured a soul-lifting sermon by Dr. Uche Ume, Lead Pastor of Power World Ministries Int'l, who stressed the importance of living by consistent and godly principles as the foundation of a fulfilled life.

Dignitaries who graced the occasion included the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Ikechukwu Uwanna, SAN; Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Sir Prince Uzor Nwachukwu; Commissioner for Arts, Tourism and Creative Economy, Mr. Matthew Ekwuribe; ALGON Chairman, Mr. Chinedu Ekeke; several Mayors, government functionaries, and members of the media community.

The dedication service was described as a joyous, family-centered celebration, reflecting the Governor's belief in moral discipline, faith in God, and educational advancement as vital pillars for a better Abia.
