According to him, Indeed it was really a breath of fresh air to see our university champion the donation and distribution of many tonnes of palliatives to indigent members of the society during the COVID-19 lockdown. It was even more heartwarming to see that the social interventions went beyond donation of foodstuff to the production of such life supportive materials as medications, power generating set, furnace and sanitizing chamber. Chief Ugochukwu therefore tasked other institutions of higher learning in Nigeria to emulate the example of Gregory University Uturu by going beyond the statutory task of knowledge transfer to the important assignment of providing impactful solutions to the myriads of problems confronting society.
