Honorable Prestige Ossy: Blessed By God, Loved By His People

During the last election , I told a friend that even if i am not certain about other opposition party members who will emerge victorious in the 2019 legislative elections ,i am certain of Honorable Prestige Ossy coming out victorious.

He argued to the extent he can and wanted to gamble his money for it, I told him that the probability of Prestige Ossy returning to the lower chamber at the National Assembly is indisputable because he is a man who has found favour with God and men.

The journey to the house of representative wound have been an impossible task if not for the overwhelming love the people have for him.

Please without arrogance , Honorable Prestige Ossy is a force to reckon with in Abia politics , a man who has endeared himself to the heart of ndi Aba and Abians.

What actually could be responsible for Hon Ossy Prestige victory in 2015 and his re-election four years later in 2019 if not for the love he enjoys from his people .

Aba the Enyimba city and the commercial hub of Abia State just like every other place was prone to election rigging, but the good people of the city insisted In 2015 that anybody who will want to rig the election against Prestige Ossy should be ready to kill them because it was an absolute consensus that Honorable Prestige Ossy must go to the federal house of representative.

The man Prestige Chinedu Ossy is a Nigerian businessman, yes he was a successful Aba made business man who has used his personal money to better the life of resident in and around Aba, He is a seasoned Customs Broker, Maritime Services Provider, Shipping Consultant and Importer of diverse Merchandise. His business has been so diversified that it transverses all sectors of Nigerian Economy making him a major Employer of labour.

His success in business was felt by those around him through the Prestige Ossy Foundation , the Prestige Ossy Foundation gave scholarship to Aba residents and others , paid tuition fees, constructed boreholes in some places, gave out water for free to neighbours and this was before his advent into politics.

As a legislator, Education is one of the areas the honorable member representing Aba North & South federal constituency gave good attention.One of the very outstanding things Honorable Prestige Ossy did in the education sector in his federal constituency was to provide for school pupils a comfortable means of free transportation that made it possible for students to go-to school with ease and on time.

Hon. Rtn. Prestige Ossy is an Elite member of the Rotary International, renowned for his Global Humanitarian outreach and has risen to become a Privileged 2nd Level Major Donor of the organization having donated well over Twenty Five Thousand U.S. Dollars ($25,000) to the cause of charity.He was President of the Rotary Club of Eziukwu Aba 2007/2008 and Assistant Governor of Rotary District 9140, 2009/2010. He is a Sports Enthusiast and Promoter, and a Hall of Fame Silver Card Holder of the prestigious Aba Sports Club.

Honourable Prestige Ossy runs two foundations of which he is President: Prestige Ossy Foundation and The Favoured Initiatives. Through this two organization, he has been reaching out to many around his constituency.

After the winning the election in 2015, I thought Prestige Ossy was going to rest as many politicians do after election, but rather as part of his 2016 constituency project, Hon. Prestige distributed "keke-napepe", motor cycles, electricity generating sets, grinding machines, sewing machines, hair dressing dryers etc. to the people of his Federal Constituency.

In 2017, Hon. Ossy Prestige in partnership with the Federal Government National Directorate of Employment, he trained the unemployed young men and women from his Federal Constituency of Aba North and South in skill acquisition. In the thinking of Prestige Ossy, instead of giving people a token of money, let them be trained in any skill of work so as to create employment for themselves and others.

The training took place at the National Directorate of Employment premises opposite Fire Service Aba, where over hundred young men and women attended a 5-day workshop which started on Monday 20th February and ended on 24th February 2017.

It was a two phase training on Catering/Confectionery, Cosmetology and Basic Business Training (BBT) otherwise known as Entrepreneurship. Other phases of the programme which took place later was Computer Operations/Maintenance, Hair Dressing, G.S.M Maintenance, Photo/Video Recording, Interior Decoration, Electrical Installation and Plumbing

This was his own way of showing appreciation to the good people of Aba who gave him the opportunity to represent them. Prestige Ossy also has through his quality representation secured Job opportunities for members of his constituency in Nigeria Police Force , Nigerian Custom Service,The Nigerian Army among others .

Within the three and half years in the National Assembly, Prestige Ossy saw the procurement, installation and Energizing of over 15 Transformers. From Tenant Road by Mosque to Umuebeke, Imo Avenue (Ariaria), Park Road by Georges and Old court Sub-station. Others are Opobo junction Sub-station, Ovom, Emelogu, Ogechi Avenue (Iheoji), etc.

He also brought EEDC management to interface with the people of Aba in a Town-Hall meeting, to solve many issues between EEDC and the Aba Consumers.

As if that was not enough, Hon. Prestige Ossy in his benevolent practice distributed Tricycles to the physically challenged to enable them fend for themselves and their families. While distributing the tricycle , the law maker hinted that he has been able to empower over 150 persons with Tricycles and urged them to make judicious use of it.He advised them not to sale it, but to use it on the road to get something to fend for themselves

In Health, one if the notable achievement of Honorable Prestige Ossy in conjunction with an Ireland based health agency called Global Mission Ireland was the organization of a free treatment for members of his constituency.

The free medical programme which was manned by 15 foreign medical experts from Ireland and 10 Nigerian Medical Volunteers attended to more than 1000 persons in the first 2 days of the 5 days health programme.

As a legislator , He has moved a lot of motion in the federal house . Supported others and chaired so many house committees to mention just a few .

To whom much is given , much is expected. Though we don't know what the future holds , but Prestige Ossy has done so much for his people and will continue to do so.He is a man that can be trusted with any assignment in future.
