HOUSE OF REPS MOVE TO MAKE HEALTHCARE DELIVERY FREE FOR NIGERIAN CHILDREN | DETAILS

A bill seeking to make health care service delivery free for Nigerian children has passed a 2nd reading in the House of Reps.
The proposed bill titled; 'A Bill for an Act to Make Health Care Service Delivery Free for All Children in Nigeria; and for Related Matters was sponsored by the member representing Bagudu/Soro in Kebbi, Bello Kaoje.

Defending the bill during plenary on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, Kaoje said;

"By nature, children grow and develop at rapid rates, placing them at special risk of being affected by illness and injury.
"If health problems are not identified and treated, they can affects a child's cognitive, physical, behavioural and emotional development,ÔÇØ stressing that, "With the Federal Government's health care initiative, Save One Million Lives, it is important make free medical services for children in Nigeria.ÔÇØ
