How Actor, Baba Ijesha Molested Minor With His Car Key | Forensic Expert Reveals

Mrs Kayode, who is the Executive Director of the Cece Yara Foundation, while giving evidence on Tuesday, September 28, informed the court that Baba Ijesha's case was referred to her by the Special Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) of the Lagos State Command, Nigerian Police Force forensic Investigation.

The expert said after interviewing the minor and carrying out forensic investigations, it was revealed that "the perpetrator engaged the child in s-exual activities twice when she was seven years old.ÔÇØ

The expert who said the victim was relaxed, cooperative and was able to recall events that happened at that time, told her that on the first occasion, her aggressor told her to "remove her pant, sit her on his lap and rub his manhood on her bodyÔÇØ and instructed her not to tell anybody.

She said the child told her that on the second occasion which was on April 19, the perpetrator "inserted his car keys into her VirginiaÔÇØ and also told her not to tell anybody.

The child expert told the court that the attributes exhibited by the defendant were the dynamics of child s-exual abusers and the modus operandi of perpetrators which involves; "secrecy, intimidation, threat or coercionÔÇØ.

She said the defendant's attributes were also "similar to that exhibited by child abusers all over the worldÔÇØ due to the vulnerability of their victims.

The child expert said after interviewing the child, she conducted a forensic investigation on her and wrote a report on her findings adding that this has been compressed into a flash drive.

Kayode thereafter, tendered a flash drive containing the forensic report which will serve as an evidence in the case.

The matter was adjourned to October 20 and 21 for cross-examination of the forensic expert by the defence counsel.

Recall that Baba Ijesha was arraigned on June 24, 2021 on a 6 count charge bordering on defilement of a minor who was 7 years between 2013/2014.
