How Bandits Kidnapped Female Students From Their Hostel - Police
The Zamfara State Police Command has given insight into the kidnapping of two female students of the Federal University, Gusau, at Sabon Gida village of Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara State by bandits on midnight of Sunday, April 2.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Mohammed Shehu, the bandits stormed the students' rented hostel at about 1am where they locked up security men in the hostel, disposes them of their cell phones and afterwards, kidnapped the two students.

"Information received by the Command indicated that, On April 2, 2023 around 1am, bandits stormed Sabon Gida village in Bungudu Local Government Area and broke into a rented female hostel of the university where they locked up the two civilian guards and dispossessed them of their handsets and later abducted two female students of Microbiology Department of the university" Shehu said.

He quoted the state Commissioner of police, Kolo Yusuf as assuring that intensive efforts are ongoing to rescue the victims as soon as possible.
