A cloud of mystery and suspicion has enveloped Delta State following the sudden and tragic death of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori's Special Adviser on Trade and Export, Mrs. Shimite Bello Love (n├®e Nwakalo), popularly known as Madam Sabificate. Her husband, Pastor David Favour Love, has been arrested by police under allegations of poisoning her on Easter Sunday.

Sources close to the family say Shimite was in good health the day before her untimely demise, even speaking for over an hour with a relative and sharing details of a meeting she had attended. But by Easter morning, something had gone terribly wrong.

"I sent her Easter messages, but she didn't reply. That was unlike her," a family member told All Facts Newspaper.

Foaming at the Mouth, Locked Indoors - Suspicious Final Hours

Allegedly locked inside her home by her husband all day, Shimite's maid raised an alarm by contacting her elder brother. The brother reportedly rushed to the house, found Shimite foaming at the mouth, and immediately took her to St. Luke's Hospital in Asaba. Sadly, she was declared dead on arrival.

The incident has now triggered an active police investigation, with her husband currently in custody.

Control, Isolation, and Alleged Hypnosis

Several family members who spoke to the media accused Pastor David of psychologically and emotionally isolating Shimite from loved ones.

"He didn't just cut everyone off-he took over everything. Even the documents of her properties were changed to his name. He always followed her around and wouldn't let her go to the office,ÔÇØ a source claimed.
Described as "overprotectiveÔÇØ and "jealous,ÔÇØ the pastor allegedly felt threatened by Shimite's success, influence, and beauty. Some family members believe she may have been under spiritual manipulation or "hypnosis.ÔÇØ

Shimite Bello was a notable personality in Delta State politics and entrepreneurship. Aside from her role as Special Adviser to the Governor, she once contested for a seat in the Delta State House of Assembly and previously served as the Executive Secretary of the state's MSME Development Agency under Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.

She was also the Group President/CEO of The Quintessential Group, a conglomerate encompassing NGOs, social enterprises, and businesses in agriculture and solid minerals.

Police Mum, Autopsy Awaited

As of the time of filing this report, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, could not be reached for comments. Meanwhile, Shimite's remains have been deposited at the mortuary pending an autopsy as investigations continue.
