The former governor of Edo state and the All Progressive Congress (APC) senatorial candidate for Edo North, Adams Oshiomole has blamed Mr Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party for the high rate of unemployment in Nigeria.

Oshiomole while speaking at the official flag off of his campaign in Auchi over the weekend, said Peter Obi creates jobs outside Nigeria and creates unemployment in the country because who sells only imported goods in his Abuja shopping mall.

"Obi owns the biggest shopping mall in Abuja and all the items sold there are imported.

"If he is selling imported wines, clothes and other items, he is contributing to why Nigeria is going down because he is creating jobs abroad and importing unemployment to Nigeria."

Recall that ahead of the 2023 election, Obi has been clamoring for a Nigeria that produces instead of consuming alone. According to him, the economic problems facing Nigeria is because it is not a manufacturing country.
