According to findings gathered by All Facts Newspaper, medical professionals have expressed concern over the increasing use of sex toys across Nigeria, especially as online stores and social media platforms promote them as "safe alternatives" for sexual satisfaction.

Doctors and public health experts, however, insist that many of these products are unsafe, as most are made from toxic materials such as silicone compounds, latex, or plasticizers that can cause infections, tissue irritation, hormonal disruption, and in some cases, internal injuries when not properly cleaned or used excessively.

During an Ifenkili episode, a specialist explained that continuous use of these devices can desensitize sexual nerves, reduce natural pleasure response, and lead to psychological dependence. "We are beginning to see more patients with internal lacerations, infections, and hormonal imbalances linked to frequent use of sex toys," she said.
